To kick things off with my new digital label Moore Music, I am releasing the music from my 'Take It To The Street' book and DVD project. The music was recorded with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and features George Porter Jr. and Ivan Neville on select tracks.

I've always enjoyed listening back to the music we recorded for the project. For the book and DVD, only a few tunes could be included on each due to space issues and the tunes needed to be faded out after a few minutes. Included here is the majority of the tunes from the project in their entirety including a couple of bonus tracks that didn't make it into the original project.

As I was growing up and developing musically in New Orleans it was always a dream of mine to play with members or the Dirty Dozen and the Meters. My dad used to come into my bedroom and listen to me practice to the Dozen's 'Voodoo' and the Meters' 'Look a Py Py' albums. As you can imagine it was quite a thrill for me to play this music for this project with the Dozen and George Porter Jr. I hope you all enjoy hearing this music as much as I enjoyed playing it. -Stanton
